Attorney General's Regional Civil Panel Competition

ADVOCATES FOR THE CROWN’S CIVIL LITIGATION:

Are you interested in undertaking civil advocacy work for Government?The Government Legal Department will be inviting applications to join the Attorney General’s Regional Panel Counsel from Thursday 8th September to Thursday 13th October 2022.
The Attorney General is seeking to appoint junior counsel to undertake civil advocacy work for all government departments on the following 3 panels: 

  • A panel for senior juniors
  • B panel for middle juniors
  • C panel for junior juniors
Membership is open to barristers with tenancy and solicitors with higher court advocacy qualification. Full eligibility criteria, guidance, and details of how to apply, will be available on GOV.UK from Thursday 8th September.

Your mentor can help you with the following:
  • the application process  
  • eligibility criteria 
  • presentation of relevant information 
  • choosing referees 

The Attorney General will appoint the advocates who appear to be the best qualified, regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership status, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion/belief, sex (gender), sexual orientation.
