- Our annual Volunteer Training event is coming up THIS SUNDAY, September 25 at 12:15 in the youth building. This is a required event for all current and potential volunteers to learn all things KidZone. Food, fun, and awards are to be expected, and childcare will be provided. You won't want to miss this! - There will be no KidZone on October 2 because of church in the park! Plan to bring a friend or 2 and enjoy our worship service outside as one church body. A free lunch is provided! - Starting THIS WEEKEND we're going to be adding something new to celebrate moments. In each classroom there will be a "Win Bin" and basket of notecards. The purpose of the Win Bin is to find a moment during your time serving to celebrate, praise, or reflect on the movement of God in our kiddos' lives and in our church. Maybe a child transitioned easily, recited the memory verse without help, or offered to pray. Whatever catches your attention, write it down. We'll be reading these each week to kick off our Leader Zone meeting. If you've had a win in your personal life, let us know! We love hearing about all that God is doing and want to celebrate together.
OVERVIEW: Our Bible story today is about Abraham and Sarah and something that made them very happy. Abraham and Sarah waited a very, very, VERY long time for a baby. It made them so happy when God gave them a baby! When Abraham and Sarah’s baby got a little older, they threw a big party with lots of food! God loved Abraham and Sarah when they were happy, and God loves us when we’re happy, too. God loves us no matter what! Who loves you no matter what? [Bottom Line] God loves me no matter what!
DEVOTIONAL: This month, we’ve learned that [Bottom Line] God loves me no matter. He loves us when we’re sad, when we’re afraid and when we’re frustrated. This week, we’ll talk about how God loves us when we’re happy too. Abraham and Sarah had a reason to celebrate! After years of waiting, God finally fulfilled his promise to give them a son. They named him Isaac. Sarah was so happy, she laughed. God loves us when we’re happy too. We can trust Him with all the emotions we feel because He is our safe place. This week, leaders, reflect on a time or an area in your life where God has blessed you abundantly. Take a moment to praise Him for His faithfulness and trustworthiness. He is a God who loves us no matter what and desires to give us good things - and that is something to celebrate!
