"Contact" in Cleveland
Invited by FRONT International 2022 to produce a project for moCa Cleveland, artist and ACT Professor Renée Green conceived "Contact," a sprawling exhibition occupying all of moCa’s public spaces. A series of public programs will involve workshops and lectures, as well as a cinematic screening series at the Case Western Reserve University Film Society. |

Boston Real Estate Times names MIT CRE alum "2022 Person of the Year"
Peter Merrigan MSRED '93 will be honored next week. “In addition to his role at the helm of Taurus Investment, Mr. Merrigan has also devoted his life to charitable and philanthropic causes,” said Upendra Mishra, Boston Real Estate Times publisher.

Robert Robinson Taylor:
Building on the Legacy of MIT’s First Black Graduate
Taylor (Class of 1892) was MIT’s first Black graduate, the first accredited Black Architect in the U.S., and a founder of Tuskegee University and its architecture school. This event celebrates the loan of Taylor’s MIT diploma for the inaugural exhibition of the new MIT Museum by Valerie Jarrett, CEO of the Barack Obama Foundation and Taylor’s great-granddaughter. The discussion includes reflections on Taylor’s legacy and new collaborations between Tuskegee and MIT by Professor Mark Jarzombek and Kwesi Daniels, Professor and Head of the Department of Architecture at Tuskegee University.

Flu season is here
To help protect against the flu, MIT Medical strongly recommends everyone get the flu shot. Active flu strains are different each year, so even if you got a flu shot last year, you still need to get this year's vaccine. All students are required to get a flu shot. MIT Medical will hold flu clinics next week — October 3–7, 8:00 am–4:00 pm — in Walker Memorial. The clinics are free to all MIT ID holders, campus residents, and patients with an MIT Medical primary care provider. More information here. |
