Welcome to Fusion

A place of belonging & becoming.

Grace-filled Hospitality

Last week we kicked off our Core Values series by talking about Grace-filled Hospitality. There are 3 forms of hospitality that are important at Fusion and in our own lives:
  1. Hospitality through welcoming others
  2. Hospitality in diversity
  3. Hospitality in caring for one another
I said on Sunday that the word “grace-filled” is a game changer.

When we have grace-filled hospitality, how we welcome means we’re showing more than a friendly smile, we’re actively seeking to help strangers and new people become friends and brothers and sisters in Christ.

When we have grace-filled hospitality, our diverse community becomes more than something we tolerate it, it becomes “iron sharpens iron”.

When we have grace-filled hospitality, how we care for others becomes compassion, because we see the image of God in every person we encounter and we care for every person just as we would care for God.

The ways of living out grace-filled hospitality are endless! When we embody this value we live out our call to be a community that is on the journey of belonging and becoming made new in Christ.

How is God inviting you into grace-filled hospitality in a new and deeper way today, this week, and in the days to come? My email is below, I’d love to hear what’s speaking to your soul.

Pastor Taryn

P.S. Keep your eyes out for a podcast later this week with our Community Engagement Coordinator, Trevor, and a member of the teaching team as they discuss what Grace-filled Hospitality looks like in a deeper way!
