We've created a new website entirely dedicated to the " Summit to Stream" digital conference, and it will continue to be updated with new information in the coming weeks. This will be your one-stop-shop for information about meeting registration, agendas, speaker & presenter bios, sponsorship info, and details about our virtual poster session. We'll be announcing updates regularly in our Watershed News, but head over there now to take a look!

Now Accepting Poster Submissions

The Summit to Stream 2020 conference is pleased to invite digital poster submissions from interested Partners. This is an opportunity to share your forest and/or watershed conservation efforts with our audience and highlight the work happening within your organization or community. These digital posters will be displayed on a designated page on the Summit to Stream website. Poster guidelines are as follows:
- Submit as PDF file
- Dimensions must be 36" X 24", landscape orientation
- Font not smaller than 18
- Contents must include an Introduction/Project history, Project overview/Summary, and Project Impact/Conclusion
- List your contact information or website for those who wish to learn more
- Optional: connect your poster to one of our Symposium daily themes:
- Intersection of Watershed Health and Forest Management
- Tools for Managing Forests & Watersheds
- Increasing Effectiveness of Collaborative Conservation
Posters must be submitted to Kierra Davis at kierra@mtwatersheds.org by 5pm on Monday, Sept. 14th. You can also contact Kierra with any questions.

Christina Burri
Location: Denver, CO
Occupation: Watershed Scientist, Denver Water
Christina Burri works for Denver Water as their Watershed Scientist to inventory, protect, and improve the 2.5 million acres of watershed in Denver Water’s Collection System. Christina is leading Denver Water’s innovative watershed management and planning efforts, including forest health investments. Christina manages the From Forests to Faucets Partnership -- a $33 million investment between Denver Water and the U.S. Forest Service to improve the health of forests and watersheds. Christina serves as Chair of the Coalition for the Upper South Platte board and is involved in several watershed and forest health collaborative groups, such as the Upper South Platte Partnership, the Fraser Source Water Protection Planning group, the Front Range Roundtable, the High Country Forest Collaborative, and the South Platte Urban Headwaters Partnership. Chelsea Pennick McIver
Location: Missoula, MT
Occupation: PhD Candidate and Research Social Scientist, University of Idaho
Chelsea Pennick McIver is a PhD candidate in the College of Natural Resources at the University of Idaho where she is studying policy implementation and governance within the US Forest Service, with a focus on collaboration. She is also a research social scientist in the Forest Industry Research Program at the University of Montana's Bureau of Business and Economic Research where she uses mill survey data to develop tools and other information products to support national forest planning and administration. Chelsea is a long-time member of the Lolo Restoration Committee and sits on the leadership team for the Rural Voices for Conservation Coalition. She lives in Missoula with her daughter.
Chelsea's presentation will focus on her research into how collaboration impacts the pace and scale of management on Idaho's national forests. The results of her research study are being published in the journal Forest Science and are the first product in a broader research program to look at how collaboration is changing the way the Forest Service does business. |

Mark Finney
Location: Missoula, MT
Occupation: Research Forester, Missoula Fire Sciences Lab – U.S. Forest Service
Mark Finney is a research forester with the Missoula Fire Sciences Lab. Mark's research focuses on studies of fire spread through controlled fire simulation to develop and improve fire modeling. His studies of fire behavior are used to improve fire modeling to protect communities and firefighting personnel while improving forest management. This modeling is essential for assessing threats to communities and watersheds, and is a necessary tool for risk analysis, which is essential to evaluating cost-effective operations in fire management, whether those are fuel treatment operations or fire suppression operations.
