Kite Fest 2020
On Saturday evening August 22, a “birds-eye” photograph of McLean County might show a sky filled with kites of all shapes, colors, and sizes ascending from the back yards of caring and hopeful individuals.
Kite Fest 2020 (virtual) will be a virtual version of the annual event, a fundraiser of For a Better Tomorrow, a Bloomington nonprofit focused on supporting local (McLean County) and global nonprofits. The free virtual Facebook event will begin on Saturday, Aug 22, 2020 at 7:00 p.m CST.
The purpose of #BloNoKiteFest is to unite the community in a fun-filled event to raise funds and awareness of these nonprofits. Although this year brings numerous challenges due to the pandemic, the event strives to create a family friendly event and raise funds for a good cause. Thanks to sponsors like CEFCU and United Way of McLean County who have passionately supported Kite Fest over the years.
Several young artists have signed up for a Talent Show. Winners of the event will be announced during the event.
