SCHOOL SUPPLY KITS FOR 2020-2021
 
As a reminder, the MPEPTA is offering the opportunity to purchase School Supply Kits for the 2020-2021 school year through School Toolbox.  The supplies are selected by our teachers and you will have the opportunity to adjust the kits as needed, in case there are any supplies you do not want to purchase in the kit.
 
We recommend ordering no later than Tuesday, August 18th for guaranteed delivery before school begins on 9/3.
 
In addition, the Supply Kits will be shipped directly to your home this year instead of to the school. School Tool Box is offering free shipping for orders over $50 and a flat rate of $7.99 for orders under $50. As stated above, we recommend ordering no later than Tuesday, August 18th for guaranteed delivery before school begins.
 
 
Please see the attached flyers for more details for Godwin School (K-2) and Highland School (3-6) and then you can place your order at https://schooltoolbox.com/school-supplies/. Be sure to select the correct school/town from the list as there are other schools listed with similar names.
The schools are listed as Godwin Elementary and Highland Elementary.  

We are asking kindergarten parents to also purchase a pencil box.  Kindergartners will have individual supplies this year. 
 
Thank you for allowing the PTA to provide this wonderful service. Please note when ordering and signing back into an already existing account, check the correct grade before ordering.
 
Also, the art teacher has put together a small list of items for use during virtual learning:  
- Pencils
- Erasers
- Scissors 
- Glue Stick and/or White Liquid Glue
- Paper to draw on
- Markers 
- Crayons or Colored Pencils
- Sharpener
- Ruler
- Clear Tape/Masking Tape
- Stapler and staples
- BOX - to keep your supplies in
 
COMMUNITY NEWS

MPPEF 5K
The Midland Park Education Foundation is excited to announce we are moving forward with our annual 5k.  Please join us for our Midland Park VIRTUAL 5k this fall which will kick off on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at 9:00 am!  While we can’t all get together this year to run and cheer each other on, we can still work together to support the MPPEF.  We need your help now more than ever! 

The theme for this year’s VIRTUAL 5k will be MP Strong! We are all in this together — at a distance! In order to accommodate our participants’ busy schedules, runners (and walkers) can do their VIRTUAL 5k anytime Saturday, October 10, 2020 at 9:00 am through Sunday, October 11th at midnight.  

A VIRTUAL race is a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose.  You can run, jog, walk, or push a stroller. Choose where you run, your distance, and who you run beside — a friend, family members, or a furry companion.  Let everyone around town know you are participating in the Midland Park VIRTUAL 5k by dressing up to show your Panther Pride, or even breaking out your Halloween costume a few weeks early!  

In an effort to keep this VIRTUAL race exciting, we will be adding a few new fun things this year, including a VIRTUAL race kickoff via Facebook Live, a VIRTUAL online photo booth and photo gallery, and a costume contest! Learn more about the event at MPPEF.org

Girl Scouts builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.
