Hello constant reader!

This fourth edition of my newsletter is a combined winter/spring special; as of writing we are still in lockdown in the UK and my world has been very small; apart from a brief break in September, I've been pretty much indoors. The English weather still plays fast and loose with seasonal norms, so the first actual signs of spring and an end to our shared ordeal are very welcome. As I mentioned in the last issue, newsletters are currently quarterly, although I hope to have some more news soon to fill out a more regular timetable!

Website Makeover

Springtime means spring cleaning, and when I'd finished with the house, and amassed bags of charity shop donations that are parked in a holding pattern in my car, I refreshed my website. You can take a look at the new theme here. I have a new home page, which seems more author-ly, with my bio and details of my book. Blog posts and news are on the Blog link. Comments and suggestions welcome!

While I was on a revamp roll, I commissioned a new cover for my quick read novella, The Battle of Watling Street. I'm really pleased with the results, and I feel that the new cover more accurately reflects the story (slight spoiler alert!)

To celebrate the new cover, I have a limited offer on my website for new subscribers to download the book for free; as you, dear reader, are already a subscriber, I'm supplying a link below to my Book Funnel author page, where you can choose PDF, Mobi (Kindle) or EPUB (e-reader) format:

If you enjoy the story, I would love an honest review on Amazon/Goodreads.

New Cthulhu Mythos Horror - Shadows Under Leamouth

My longest piece of fiction published to date was featured in a Lovecraftian series in November; Shadows Under Leamouth is a 5,000 word short story, and my homage to HP Lovecraft’s The Shadow Over Innsmouth.

The story is set in modern-day East London, and it’s my tongue-in-cheek contribution to the Cthulhu Mythos, although it hits some pretty horrific notes. This is also my first piece of fiction to be published in a chapbook series, Lovecraft's Disciples issue 42, by Rainfall Books.

Rainfall are a British fantasy, horror and Sci-Fi publisher specializing in modern works inspired by the writing of Lovecraft, Robert E. Howard and Clark Ashton Smith. The cover of this issue is a wonderfully gruesome image that sadly doesn't relate to the fate of my protagonist! For more info, you can read my post here

I'd love to hear from you if you have any feedback on my website, or just to hear about fabulous books you've read recently!

If you enjoy my newsletter, please forward it to a friend, or if you have any suggestions to make it better, please drop me a line.

Thanks, Margaret
