Our whole AMURT Lebanon team is very excited and grateful that we have not only reached the target of this crowdfunding campaign but are also already exceeding it!

Your donation is making a huge difference and has gotten this important emergency response to the #beirutexplosions off the ground and running! As you can imagine, many demands are coming up that weren't originally foreseen, so the extra support is very welcome and will be put to good use.

One of our best disaster relief coordinators on the international level of AMURT, Kurt Behringer, arrived in Lebanon on Saturday. Already the team has been working through the weekend on drafting proposals for grants from Kindernothilfe (KNH) and Orienthelfer that were submitted today.

Based on the initial assessment, they are drafting a more complex program for supporting children and families through trauma recovery on the psychological level by providing psychosocial support. Children are particularly impacted by trauma, and need the sensitive care that our experienced team can offer!
