📒 "What's in your Contract?" online event - date/time TBD

!!! Fill out the Doodle to choose a time !!!

Do you know what's in your contract or employee manual? Join our Zoom event to talk with others and learn more about things like:

mandatory arbitration
non-compete clauses
non-disclosure agreements
intellectual property rights
and more ways employers try to limit our worker's right

We want to know about your experiences with dealing with various contract issues, and brainstorm what we can do as workers to fight back against these practices. If possible, have your contract handy!

Help us choose a time to meet next week by filling out the Doodle.

This event will be followed by a series of others to focus more deeply on some of these issues - stay tuned for more info.

📚 Book Club: The Last Ballad

The Last Ballad is a historical fiction novel based on events that took place in a 1920's textile mill in North Carolina. The book brings together deep struggles in racism, low-wage work, misogyny, and violent union-busting tactics.

Help us choose a date to read Wiley Cash's The Last Ballad
on this Doodle. We'll read the first six chapters for our initial book club meeting.

Learn more about the book here.

The TWC Code of Conduct is in effect for all TWC NYC meetings.
