August Meeting 2020

Online General Assembly
After a period of almost a month of plenaries and standing committee sessions, the first ever IFMSA Online General Assembly, August Meeting 20, concluded on Sunday, 16th of August. During the plenaries, the IFMSA Team of Officials 2020/2021 were elected including the future SCORP Officials: the SCORP Director, Maha Rehman, and Liaison Officer for Human Rights and Peace Issues, Mahmood Al-Hamody (introduced in the image below).

The SCORP Sessions took place over two weekends, starting on the 7th of August and resuming on the 14th, 15th and 16th of August. The sessions put medical students at the center of attention, and focused on the various human rights issues and challenges during health emergencies, in addition to addressing the dilemmas between human rights and politics. We tried to live stream some of the sessions we had through our Facebook group. You can find all the links to the recordings here:

We thank all those who participated and contributed to make this unique General Assembly a reality!
