KRAFTWERK LONDON DESIGN MUSEUM OPENS WITH KRAFTWERK'S SOUND EXHIBITION
A programmed exhibition about the history of electronic music is opening today at London’s Design Museum. The exhibition, titled ‘Electronic: From Kraftwerk to The Chemical Brothers’, was originally scheduled to take place from 1st April to 26th July, but was postponed in March as exhibition spaces closed their doors due to the spread of coronavirus. It will explore the “hypnotic world of electronic music” and “discover its global impact from underground movements to the mainstream,” and features appearances from the likes of Jeff Mills, Ellen Allien, Jean-Michel Jarre and more. It will also feature a 3-D experience surrounding electronic pioneers Kraftwerk, with the installation soundtracked by legendary DJ and producer, Laurent Garnier.
PRINCE UNRELEASED TRACK 'COSMIC DAY' GETS OFFICIAL RELEASED
Following the reissue of Prince’s ‘The Versace Experience (PRELUDE 2 GOLD)’, ‘Chaos and Disorder’ and ‘Emancipation’ via Sony Legacy in 2019, the late artist’s estate have now shared a previously unreleased track, ‘Cosmic Day’. ‘Cosmic Day’ was recorded at Sunset Sound in 1986, and will appear on a highly-anticipated ‘Sign O’ The Times’ reissue due out in September. CARL COX NAMED OFFICIAL ASSOCIATE FOR LONDON MOTOR SHOW 2021 The techno legend’s love of cars is no secret, and in 2013 he launched his own Carl Cox Motorsport brand to represent drivers and teams in various areas of racing. From 16 – 18 July 2021, the London Motor Show will take place in Battersea Park and Cox will be bringing plenty of vehicles from his own famed car collection, as well as showcasing the brand itself. He will, of course, also be DJing the event. He added: “Carl himself is a first-class driver and a rider having clocked up an eye watering 235mph earlier this year in New Zealand.” Last week, Carl Cox made his Armada Music Debut with a remix of Kenneth Bager and Jez Phunk. STEVE AOKI IS WORKING ON A MUSICAL ABOUT THE MOZART FAMILY Steve Aoki is a living, breathing example of the mantra “hard work pays off.” In an age where overnight prosperity seems more apparent than it has ever been, we tend to set our eyes on the “industry plants” and young Internet stars and forget about those who finally find success after years and years of work. Aoki, who came 10th in last year’s Top 100 DJs poll, will debut his new show, Mozart² – The New Musical, at New York’s Carnegie Hall in 2021. Featuring Spiderman: Turn Off The Dark star Justin Matthew Sargent as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and Ruby Lewis as his sister Nan, the production will explore the life and struggles of both 18th century musicians. While the original score is credited to Gregory Nabours, music for the production is credited not only to Steve Aoki, but various other EDM artists.

MICROSOFT TO CONTINUE TALKS TO POTENTIALLY ACQUIRE TIKTO'S US OPERATIONS AFTER TRUMP THREATENED TO BAN THE APP IN THE US
The company said in the statement that it plans to complete these “discussions” with the app’s parent company, ByteDance, “no later than September 15, 2020.” The announcement comes after President Donald Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One that his administration would ban the Chinese-owned app citing security concerns, sparking widespread concern and panic among creators on the popular social media platform. According to a Friday pool report, Trump asserted he has the “authority” to ban TikTok “with an executive order or that.”
