Zonta Club of Bradford, Pennsylvania
JULY 24, 2020
Fran Stewart (far right), newly elected President of Zonta, presents a 500.00 check to The Friendship Table. Zonta Club of Bradford held a virtual in-club donation drive to benefit The Friendship Table. Our member’s generously donated to this worthy cause. Joe Dorguzzi accepted the donation on behalf of The Friendship Table and all his dedicated volunteers. Joe stated that since early March, 2020, The Friendship Tables loyal volunteers have served over 18,000 meals in our community, free of charge. Zonta would like to thank The Friendship Table Volunteers for their service. We are happy to support this service in our community.

The Zonta Club of Guelph has much more information on their website about this innovative idea for fundraising during these trying times. Check out www.zontaguelph.ca/bottledrive.

CONGRATS! ZC ROCHESTER IS #2!

A Big Thank You is due to D4 Historian Mary Yunker & ZC Rochester President Nancy McCulloch. On the Convention’s Centennial  List of the Ten First Zonta Clubs, a mistake was made. ZC Rochester has been the #2 Zonta Club for 100 years - since 1919. Suddenly, it was not on the List. It took a lot of research & many emails but as of August 4, ZC Rochester is restored to its rightful place. Congratulations!

We are very proud to have Five of the Oldest Continually Operating Zonta Clubs in District 4: From 1919: Club 0001 Buffalo ,NY - 0002 Rochester, NY- 0006  Erie, PA / From 1920: 0011 Lockport, NY / From 1921: 0012 Jamestown, NY.

The other First Ten Clubs are also listed on Centennial Membership Recognition Awards at Zonta .org: Elmira, Syracuse, Utica, Detroit 1, Toledo & Cleveland. (There are actually eleven due to a “tie”.)

D4 is proud of ALL our clubs & grateful that we were able to keep all thirty-three of them throughout this challenging 2020 year of the Coronavirus. Congratulations to every club with gratitude to all the members who continue to support Zonta.
