Free PIVOT program for small businesses

The Small Business Development Corporation is offering a new program to further support small businesses as WA continues to recover from COVID-19.

Funded by the State Government, the PIVOT program aims to support you and your business by helping to develop a mindset necessary to rebuild businesses, discover new ways of operating and explore new market opportunities.

The six-month program, valued at $4,500 per participant, is free for eligible small businesses who meet the following criteria:

  • Your business is ‘small’ as defined in the Small Business Development Corporation Act 1983 (details are on p.3 of the Act), including sole traders.
  • You have a valid and active Australian Business Number (ABN).
  • You are committed to undertaking the requirements of the program over a six month period commencing August 2020.
All eligible businesses are encouraged to submit an expression of interest, however preference will be given to businesses that:
  • have been significantly impacted by government restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic; or
  • operate in the tourism, agrifood, hospitality or retail sectors.

Applications close 4.00pm, Monday 17 August and as demand is expected to be high, late applications will not be accepted.
