WHAT'S HAPPENING THIS WEEK???
See You Soon!
It's a strange time to be going on leave, just as the church year starts to ramp up, but since we've been planning all summer, things should continue unfolding smoothly, and Jeannette, Kathleen, David, Karen, and Dionisio can help with most questions you may have. In my absence, Rev. Scott Neely, minister at the Spartanburg UU, is on call for pastoral needs.

If you need non-urgent pastoral support, please contact a Care Coordinator or call the Fellowship office. In case of a death or emergency, please call Rev. Neely directly at (864) 590-8260. On Sundays, you'll hear guest sermons from my colleagues Rev. Mark Ward (8/23) and Rev. David Messner (8/30) and will be another wonderful lay-led service. Thanks to the Sunday Services Committee for their work.

I will be using this unplanned time off to help my kids get settled into the new virtual school year, recharge my own batteries a bit, and if I decide to get really crazy, clean the garage. I look forward to jumping back into the new church year with both feet when I return.

Being UU at Home

There was no new Being UU at Home Lesson this week, so please take this opportunity to check out previous lessons you may have missed on the Being UU at Home webpage.

Our lesson for next Sunday, August 23rd, "Who Cares? Taking it Into the World," will explore ideas on how to engage in social and environmental activism with your family. Check the Being UU at Home webpage on Sundays to see the latest lesson.
