Hello everyone....I'm trying to exercise a new plan of  'focussing on the positives'.......
...and one of those positives is beautiful new fabric....
There have been some beautiful new Dutch Heritage fabrics with prints reproduced from fabrics in some of the antique quilts from the collection held by Christopher Wilson Tate of Antique Textiles Company in the UK. One quilt in particular was created by Mary Gibbs in 1812, and Christopher has allowed the pattern to be written by Quiltmania!....and she's a beauty.

Mary Gibbs 1812 Quilt
The gorgeous bird panel has been reproduced beautifully and I have teemed it with a selection of the Chintz Patchwork ca 1820 fabrics from Antique Textiles Company. These would all look amazing in this quilt...or any project really...lol.... ($54 each)...order them here. Or you can purchase just the panel separately here
I have a few of the patterns left ($45), and more on order, arriving in the next few weeks...you can order/preorder here.
But wait, there's more....lol.......
You will want templates and papers....right? Well since the quilt comprises only a few shapes and is created in sections, we thought a set of templates, mylar circles, and half the required papers (with the view to re-use them once), would be kinder on the budget and make good sense. This set ($165) can be ordered here, and the despatch time on these is approximately 3 weeks.
If you only require templates and mylar circles (no papers), we have that covered too ($32), and these can be ordered here.
Ecru/white solid background fabric to match the centre panel background as in the original quilt, is on order (arriving next month) if you'd like me to reserve the required amount for you just let me know in your order noted when purchasing the pattern. (Apparently mask-making across our country has depleted all basic colours of solid fabrics from all our suppliers....strange to have to wait for stocks of such a basic fabric.....strange times for sure).
I am in the process of popping some fat sixteenth fabric sets together for this quilt (or other projects perhaps)....so stay tuned.
If you had already pre-ordered your Mary Gibbs patterns, paper/template and fabric bundles....I have them here for you and shall be in touch very soon :)
Lady Margaret Quilt....new BOM.....is progressing well.

This quilt is one of my own designs and is offerring as a 10 month BOM program in these same fabrics beginning mid September.
Price will be $66 per month + postage, with a one-off $25 additional charge for the 3 piece template set at the start.
I have a growing interest list for this BOM, so please let me know if you are interested.
A full frontal quilt photo will be available to share once she returns from being transformed under Sheree's quilting needle at Yarra Valley Quilting....wink, wink....can't wait....
Anne's English Scrapbox  is the beautiful latest Di Ford Hall collection of fabrics....
I was able to re-stock some of these beauties so if you missed out on your favourite print earlier, you're in luck now.

I hope your quilting craft is keeping you occupied during these trying times. My thoughts are with all of you particularly those of you in Victoria.....big hugs....stay safe
I need to have a couple of little visits to hospital in the next week for small procedures, but I am hopeful there will be no great interrupion to the BOM mailing which I plan to start on the weekend.
.....until next time.....happy sewing......

Sandy
