Coming In September: Join the Movement for A Just Local Food System!
These are just a few of the opportunities available to get even more involved with the Farm Alliance of Baltimore and others locally who are also pushing for more justice.
Farm Alliance of Baltimore and Black Yield Institute will be co-convening a series of virtual workshops on Community Control of Land. Dates TBD, but we can say that these will start in September.
Repair the World Fellow to Coordinate Farm Volunteers! We are extra excited to welcome a new part-time Fellow from Repair the World Baltimore, a Jewish justice organization, who will spend the year helping to recruit and organize those wishing to volunteer at our member farms. We can't wait to introduce you to this person in September!
Saying Thank You to Our Summer Interns!
Our two summer interns, Ga'Nyah and Nora, will soon head back to their respective schools, but they will bring with them a wealth of new understanding and experiences from working on farms and on our Waverly market program this summer. And, they even completed some assigned reading with books by Leah Penniman (Farming While Black) and Michael Pollan (The Omnivore's Dilemma)!

- Waverly Farmers' Market, Saturdays from 7am-noon
- Fresh at the Avenue in partnership with the No Boundaries Coalition
- Overlea Farmers Market, every other Saturday, 8:30am-noon
