Highlands LLEN Update

Highlands LLEN staff have continued to engage and deliver for our stakeholders during these times of COVID-19. Staff are primarily located at home and connecting with you via a range of platforms. The Department of Education and Training has issued Highlands LLEN with a Contract Variation which has enabled us to work on non-face to face activities to improve school-industry engagement. VET delivered to secondary students via the VET Cluster is currently being delivered online during Stage 3.

Highlands LLEN staff will continue to work from home according to the Victorian Government advice. We are committed to remaining in contact with you in whatever form you are comfortable with. Please stay in touch, we are here for our community.

New GROW Ballarat Coordinator: Anne Scott

Highlands LLEN has this week welcomed Anne Scott to the role of GROW Ballarat Coordinator, a role which will be responsible for the new GROW Ballarat Mentoring Program. Anne’s diverse experience base was established while working in Australia and supporting government reform in developing countries. Her previous roles have traversed between adult education, organisational change, and public and private human resource development. Her experience together with her qualifications enable her to reinforce the links between individual needs and organisational priorities. Anne is committed to and experienced with diverse and disadvantaged learners and considers mentoring to be a critical way to embed learning and aid its transfer to the work context. She lives in Melbourne and Blackwood and loves gardening and socialising.
