Over the summer we installed our new PTA Board and we've been preparing for a year full of the unexpected with Plans A, B and C (or are we on D, E, and F by now..?). While we don't know exactly what this year will look like, one thing that I am certain of is that the PTA is going to be there to support our community. I am excited and inspired by the ideas that have already been brought forward for the year by our volunteers, and with how hard our administration and teachers have worked to create the best opportunities possible in these uncertain times. This year is going to be different than any we've ever experienced, and I'm thrilled to be working on our children's behalf as your PTA President. No matter how school works this year, please know that the PTA will be here to offer our support and show our Wildcat Pride at every turn.
Leading up to the start of school, you can expect regular emails and posts to social media from the PTA. There will be a lot of information that we will be helping the district get to families - especially those who are new to our district including our incoming Kindergarten kids! Please be sure to watch your inbox and/or follow us on your preferred social media platforms. We're on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter and will be sure to share information as we get it. Please share the information with your friends in the district as well! Our community is made up of over 1,000 families and only a fraction of them are subscribed to our communications. We are in this together (no matter how far apart) and I look forward to hearing from and supporting you this year.
Watch for future updates on our new Virtual Kindergarten Parents' event, School Supplies, PTA Reflections arts competition, spirit wear and more!
With Wildcat Pride,

School Supplies
We know that everyone has been waiting for information about school supply kits that were ordered through us, and now we finally have some answers. Students that have chosen the hybrid learning option will have their kits delivered to their classroom, so they will be at your child's desk on the first day of school. Students that have chosen the remote learning option will pick up their kits when the district has a materials pick up day before school starts (date TBD). If you're a hybrid learner and would like to pick up your kit before school starts, you can do so at the district's materials pick up day for full-remote learners. That date has not yet been set, but we will share that information as soon as it has been decided.
Last week, District 60 revised their school supply lists. Revised supply lists can be found on our website and on thedistrict website. The PTA has already adjusted our kits and they have the correct supplies.
If you have any questions regarding supply kits please email Suzanne at suzandweb@gmail.com.
