Enjoy the Fly Fishing Film Tour Digital Event

August 27-September 2

F3T has gone online. Plan to watch the 2020 Fly Fishing Film Tour with family and friends in the comfort of your own home. Ridgway 2020 F3T Digital Event is happening from August  27 at 7 p.m. to September 2 at 11:55 p.m. (MDT). All ticket sales proceeds will go directly to the Uncompahgre Watershed Partnership, to support activities protecting and improving watershed resources.

You can buy tickets by clicking on the blue button at the bottom of this message.

Did you buy a ticket to our March 14 Event (originally planned at the Sherbino Theater)? If you have not received a refund yet, you have three options to make the most of your purchase:

Buy Digital Event tickets online, and come* to RIGS to get refund for March 14 event tickets PLUS pick up a free Film Tour hat.

Buy Digital Event tickets online, and come* to RIGS to tell us you are donating the payment for March 14 event tickets PLUS pick up a free Film Tour hat AND buff.

Come to RIGS to get a refund for March 14 event tickets (you are not required to buy Digital Event tickets BUT you won’t get the cool hat or buff).

*You only need to come to RIGS if you want a refund or the hat and buff. We CANNOT MAIL those items to you, but you can buy Digital Event tickets and donate your March 14 event payment without visiting us. Anyone wanting a refund MUST request it by October 2. Refunds not requested by that date will be donated to the Uncompahgre Watershed Partnership.

PLUS, this year's Film Tour includes a SPECIAL SHOWING of "Project Rainbow" filmed right in our basin in the Gunnison Gorge.

Join a Memorable Volunteer Event

Sat., Sept. 12, 9 a.m.- 2 p.m.

UWP and the Ouray Ice Park are organizing our 3rd annual Love Your Gorge volunteer work morning and picnic.

Join us to help restore the natural resources in the Uncompahgre River Gorge. Historic use by the early settlers left mining, railroad and other industrial debris, while more recent gorge visitors left construction debris scattered around – much of which was cleaned up during the 2018 Love Your Gorge event. In 2019, we are continued to remove debris, as well as addressing erosion issues around the top of the gorge. For 2020, we will be planting some trees, picking up litter and doing other important work.

This event is partially funded by the Frank L. Massard Trust, and affiliated with American Rivers National River Cleanup and Ocean Conservancy International Coastal Cleanup.

You’ll want to join us this year – we’re a fun group! Please wear layers as the morning and shadowy canyon (all day) can be cold but the sun is intense. Wear sturdy shoes (hiking boots would be great), sunscreen, gloves, and a hat and/or sunglasses. Also, bring a mask for the start of the day, when we gather for instructions.

This event is open to ages 12 and up. Minors (under 18) must be accompanied by an adult or provide a waiver signed by their parent or guardian.

Please sign up so we can track how many volunteers are joining us. Give your name(s), phone number and email address to Tanya at uwpcommunications@gmail.com or 970-325-3010.
