Back in March, the Vote Save America team had a meeting about all our big ideas for the year. One of the notes from that meeting was, “Convention party bus?” Unfortunately, the universe had other plans, and instead of convening in a sweaty bus in Milwaukee with Democrats from all over the country, this week we’ll be at a safe social distance in our respective homes watching as Joe Biden and Kamala Harris officially accept the Democratic Party’s nomination.
But like all the birthdays, weddings, baby showers, happy hours, and company paint and sip nights (just us?) we’ve had to attend virtually this year, we’re making the best of it, and we’re inviting all of you to join us.

On Thursday, August 20, tune in at 8pm ET for the official Pod Save America DNC pre-show with Jon Favreau, Jon Lovett, Tommy Vietor, and Dan Pfeiffer. They’ll lead us into the final night of the convention with a look back at the week’s highlights, and host the world premiere of Dress Rehearsal, a new documentary short about the progressive organizers who pulled off a stunning upset in Wisconsin during a pandemic and are preparing to do it again on November 3.
The convention is another reminder that we are getting closer and closer to the big day. If you haven’t already, there’s no better time to Adopt a State and tell your friends to do it, too. Thursday marks 75 days out from Election Day, and the stakes have never been higher. We need to dig deep and leave it all on the field. Every single day from here on out makes a difference when it comes to handing Donald Trump a defeat so decisive he can’t even call it rigged (he still will, but we can’t let this thing be close.)
