Our commitment to provide hands-on youth financial education motivates us to find new ways to reach young people, especially those that need this type of education most of all!
Youth can access Money Matters classes online, for free, and can earn $10 into a Young Americans Bank account. Since these classes went virtual in June, 233 youth have participated. With more than 19,000 current account holders, we hope to reach even more as our staff continues to develop new topics.
Virtual Programs allowed 152 youth to experience a hands-on lesson in personal finance, global economics, and entrepreneurship over the summer. Drawing youth from beyond our state meant that young people from New York, Arizona, and Florida could participate in this type of education without traveling to Colorado! We have plans to continue these Programs this fall, and we are so fortunate that donor support will continue to provide scholarships for any student in need.
Despite a global pandemic, countless participants and supporters have enabled this vital education to continue. We are deeply grateful, and we invite you learn more about this important work!
