Dear Students,

I write to make you aware of recent updates made to the Rensselaer Handbook of Student Rights and Responsibilities, and your rights and responsibilities as a Rensselaer student. The Handbook conveys the values, beliefs, standards, and expectations we share as a community of scholars.

Updates to the Rensselaer Handbook of Student Rights and Responsibilities, revised August 14, 2020, include:

Sexual Misconduct Policy
References and excerpts to Rensselaer’s Sexual Misconduct Policy within the Handbook have been updated to reflect revisions to the Sexual Misconduct Policy to comply with the U.S. Department of Education’s amendments to Title IX. Visit the updated Sexual Misconduct Policy to review changes.

It is the responsibility of each Rensselaer student to understand and comply with the rules and regulations set forth in the Handbook, and requirements set forth in other Institute policies.

Sincerely,

Travis Apgar
Assistant Vice President for Student Life
and Dean of Students
