AND PEOPLE OF COLOR EXPERIENCE AT A2RU AND ON OUR CAMPUSES

We are excited to take the next step to build on the a2ru scholars’ program, to allow for multiple channels of entry into our work, and to better lay the groundwork to ensure that a2ru is a more inclusive organization. For our annual meeting this year, we are debuting a panel of student voices who will speak to the Black, Indigenous, and/or People of Color (BIPOC) campus experience and how it can be improved. We welcome undergraduate, graduate, and post-doctoral students to participate in this panel. Students who have graduated in the last two years are also welcome to apply. Find out more

With the renewed momentum of the Black Lives Matter movement and in acknowledgment that our Leonardo publications do not reflect the diversity of our local community and global network in authorship, review and editing, Leonardo/ISAST feels it imperative to implement initiatives to address where we fall short. Recently we have updated policies and initiatives within our peer review processes and editorial guidelines. Find out more
LABS 2019–2020 TOP-RATED ABSTRACTS
The 2019–2020 LABS Peer Reviewers are pleased to announce the authors of the top-ranked abstracts. These authors of the six highest-ranked abstracts will be published on our website and also in a special section of Leonardo journal: Teresa Connors, Varvara Guljajeva, Marlene Mathew, Carlos Augusto Moreira Da Nobrega, Minka Stoyanova and Carloalberto Treccani. The following authors ranked highly and will be published on our website: Birgitte Aga, Renata Buziak, Karen Ann Donnachie, Kiriaki Genitsaridou, Louise M. HEAL-IN: A MULTISENSORY EXPERIENCE

Inspired by the protest techniques of sit-in, lie-in, and teach-in, Heal-In is a multisensorial offering created in collaboration with Beatrice Glow (multidisciplinary artist, researcher and advocate) and Grace Osborne (sound artist, academic, and healing arts worker). Heal-In guides participants on an audiovisual journey enhanced by olfactory components with the intention of engaging the question, "What does it mean to heal and be healed in a decolonized context?" Find out more

9–13 September 2020 
Ars Electronica Festival 2020 will be a journey to measure the “new” world and a journey through “Kepler’s Gardens,” which are located in Linz at the JKU Campus and at 120 other locations worldwide. All the issues touched upon are marked by a general UNCERTAINTY and the question of how the crisis will shape and change us as individuals and as a society, us as HUMANITY. Two tensions in particular are in focus: AUTONOMY and DEMOCRACY as well as TECHNOLOGY and ECOLOGY. Find out more
