Dear Friends,

Please join us tomorrow as we celebrate the heavenly birthday of Mary on the feast of the Assumption. If you would like to pray at home and please click this link for a liturgy to pray at home.

If you would like to reserve a seat for this Sunday's service please click here.  There will also be places available on the door.

For those of you who cannot make the 10.00am service, there will be a 4.00pm outside mass at St Mary's Tower. I'm saying this on behalf of Fr Bruce who is shielding at this time.

Of course many of you will not be able to come, because you are shielding or live far away. The mass will still be streamed on Facebook.

You can watch the mass here

After the service it will be uploaded onto our website.

Daily Mass will be at 9.30 from Monday to Thursday and then at 10.00 on Saturday. Everybody is welcome to come, no need to reserve a seat.

With love and prayers,

Fr Ben

A word on Gilbert's Funeral:

We don't yet know the date of Gilbert's funeral but as soon as we do I will tell everybody. The cause of death is still being established. Because we will be limited to 30 at church at any one time, it is my intention to celebrate 3 requiem masses for him: one on the entry of his body into church the night before, one in the morning and one immediately before his committal. Attendance at any one of these masses will be a way of saying goodbye to Gilbert and I hope this means that everybody who wants to will have the chance to come.

Requiem Mass for Delores Isaac

We will be celebrating a requiem mass for our beloved sister Delores Isaac at Holy Innocents at 9.30am on Thursday 3rd September. The burial of her ashes will take place later in the day at the church in a private ceremony for the family but the ashes will be present in church for the mass. Please join us as we gather to say goodbye to our dear friend.

Tottenham Refugee Alliance – URGENT appeal for volunteers

Thanks to your generosity, we have more than reached the £9,000 required by the Home Office to bring a refugee family from Syria or Iraq to safety. We now need more volunteers who will help with the following areas in order to settle them in Haringey or Hackney: housing (furniture and equipment for the house); education (local schools etc); health contacts (G.P.s, dental surgeries, AandE); welfare income (they get benefits automatically: where to claim); accessing employment and volunteering; ESOL and interpreters. Tottenham Refugee Alliance will organise any training or preparation needed.

If you may be able to help in any of these (or other) ways, please give your name and contact details to Fr Ben or email secretary@tottenhamrefugees.org.uk. (Apologies if you offered to help some time ago and weren’t followed up – this time, volunteers are vital.) Thank You – Fr David Ardagh-Walter.
Help keep Holy Innocents going during the lockdown

This has been a difficult time for us financially, losing nearly all the income we would have got through Sunday collections. We realise this is a tough time for everybody, and want to give heartfelt thanks to those who have already given so generously and continue to do so each month. If you could support us, please click on this link to go to our giving page
