In this newsletter, we talk about "Disconnect" - paradoxically an attempt to connect home brewers, new coffee estates launches, updates on the Ratnagiri hype and an amazing set of playlists to create that cafe vibe.

I have completed reviewing the Ratnagiris. The ratings remain the same:

WHAT'S BREWING?
People ask me why am I so obsessed with coffee. Have always struggled to answer this. I can assure you that it is not just the caffeine kick or the flavours that is motivating enough. So I had to dig deeper and reflect on what I was doing all this while. I discussed my findings with a few friends. It turns out that the process of brewing coffee is the key to this entire madness. It allows me to disconnect. From the world, my problems and allows me to have a heart to heart with myself. And this is not just limited to me but the coffee brewing community as a whole. To build a much more comprehensive consumer view and to understand what motivates a home brewer, we have started a series called "Disconnect" on Instagram. UP YOUR GAME
The key to brewing amazing coffees is having fun. I found that the ambience makes a huge difference to my brew sessions. And music is something which adds that inexplicable energy to the room. Project 2.2 has some amazing playlists on Spotify which you can check out here. I came across this other playlist curated by Karan Morey from Corridor Seven called "23rd December". Absolute banger. Go give him some love.
WHAT'S NEW?
1. Bloom Coffee Roasters has brought in Venkids Valley, a new estate to the Indian markets. They have been exclusive to the international markets till now due to low domestic demand. But the winds of change are here.
2. Kapi Kottai has started retailing Kerehaklu coffees. This is just 1/many.
3. Beanrove got themselves an upgrade. A huge upgrade.
