Today is the Feast of the Assumption of Mary

16th August 2020

Dear Friends,

Today is the Feast of the Assumption. Click here for the Scripture Readings.

You can hear some words from me today by clicking on the blue button below.

Please come to Church today for the Feast of the Assumption of Mary. As well as the outdoor mass at 9.30am, there will be quartet of fabulous singers providing marvellous music and procession of Our Lady around the Churchyard, with homemade cakes, coffee and Amaretto afterwards.

The Holy Rosary. This great feast of Our Lady offers an opportunity to renew our prayer life. Praying the rosary is a simple and yet powerful way to meditate on the mysteries of our faith as well as offering our own prayers to God, and asking the Blessed Virgin to pray for us too. Click here to read a really good introduction to this form of prayer.

Weekday Mass times
Because of the current restrictions and the building works in church we will follow a simplified pattern of mass times until 6th September when we hope to be back in church.

Sundays 9.30am     outdoor Solemn Mass at Old St Pancras
Wednesdays 11am  Mass in St Paul's Church followed by coffee
Thursdays 10am      Mass at Old St Pancras followed by coffee

Simon, our Director of Music will be emailing later with musical reflections for this Sunday.

I look forward to seeing many of you at 9.30am for the outdoor Mass.

Every Blessing,

Fr James
