Greetings! Thank you all for joining us for our Face Book/YouTube Covid-9 Live Stream last Thursday. We had approximately 300 views, lots of questions and comments. Our plan was shared with both the Natrona County Health Department and the Infectious Disease Doctors who both felt it was an excellent plan. Included is an updated plan with minor corrections. We feel so blessed for our supportive SAS family during these times.
COVID-19 Re-Entry Guidelines for SAS 2020-2021
Since we will not have our traditional Back to School Bash, we will arrange a time for our younger students (grades Preschool-2nd) to come and bring in their supplies before the first day of classes and see their classroom. We ask that older children bring in their supplies on the first day of class. As you enter at the pre-arranged time (arranged by your teacher), it is required that you wear face coverings, sign in, and have your temperature taken. Post cards from your child’s teacher will let you know of the time and day to bring in supplies. These cards should be received around the 22nd of August.

We are transitioning from our TeacherEase program to the FACTS program that will house our communications, billing, lunch program, and more. This system is used by many Catholic schools and all looks very favorable. This should help you and the school with putting all important systems together making it easier for all of us. Please be aware and patient that there will likely be some glitches as we learn this new format. We will provide training as we move along.
Afterschool Care:
SAS will once again be able to provide after school care for an additional fee. This program will run from 3:30pm until 5:15pm. Monica Costalez will be directing this program. Students in grades K-5th will have priority placement. We are so excited that our program will be housed at Our Lady Of Fatima Parish Center that is located directly north of the school. We are so grateful that we are able to access this facility. Many of you may recall we used this facility a few years ago. Please contact Mrs. Costalez if you are interested. 1st Day of School: Since our opening will look different this year, we will mix things up a bit. Instead of coming into the school through the main entrance as we traditionally have for the past several years, our red-carpet entrance will be at the east gate of the building. Students and parents wearing face coverings, may enter, walk down the carpet (socially distancing as much as possible) go directly to the soccer field to where the students are gathered. Teachers will then take the students to their classes through the prescribed entrance and complete a temperature check and hand sanitizing. They will then take them to their respective classes. Parents will need to say goodbye at this point and will not be allowed to go into the building with the exception of preschool parents wearing face coverings. If your child is showing any symptoms of Covid-19, keep your child at home. Students coming to school with symptoms will be sent home immediately. Please check for these symptoms before leaving your house in the morning.
Pick up on the 1st Day: Teachers will bring their students to the playground in a similar fashion. You can park your car in the lot or at the old Ridley’s grocery store parking lot and come to the fence at the soccer field to pick up your child. Again, face coverings are required until you and your child get back into your car. Students will remain in their class groupings.
