LWVPBC and LWVPBC Education Fund
First Quarter 2020 Financial Report
First quarter of our fiscal year 2020 (April 1, 2020 thru June 30, 2020) performance remained strong for LWVPBC and our Education Fund, even though operations were curtailed by the Corona pandemic. We devised alternative ways to reach out to members and others in Palm Beach County, and the generous donations from members and others kept us financially sound and active.
As you can see from the charts, combined income for LWVPBC and the Education Fund was less than budgeted for the quarter, but combined expenses were even lower and we ended the quarter with net income of $32,218. Some items of note:
-
Approximately 40% of Budgeted Income and Expenses were associated with the planned in person 100 Anniversary Event, which was canceled. We will celebrate with a virtual event in the second quarter.
-
Increased Donations from members, organizations, and sponsors in support of the League’s various causes accounted for 84% of reported $55.4K in Gross Income for the period.
-
Membership, mainly from renewals, grew to 696 members from 610 members at the close of the fiscal year 2019.
Respectfully submitted,
Dorneth Weir
