August Update

Return to School – Update

We have received the news we have all been waiting for and are pleased to inform you of our plans to reopen the Out Of School Club on Wednesday 12 August.  We have reviewed our operating plan to ensure we are following all guidelines from the Government that will allow us to open in a safe and secure manner.

The new operating model for the coming weeks will see children placed in cohorts of the following classes: P1 & P2, P3 & P4, P5 & P6, and P7.

We will be working with a maximum group size of 20 children per cohort and each cohort will have consistent staff, wherever possible.  We have enhanced cleaning procedures and are cleaning all areas thoroughly and toys are being cleaned prior to being moved between cohorts.  We also have enhanced hand hygiene practices and have sanitizers in each room.  Staff will remain 2m apart from each other.

We will be using the Out Of School Club entrance and would like to kindly remind parents to remain at a safe distance from others whilst using this.  Upon arrival, a member of staff will bring the children out to the parents.  Staff will sign your children out for the time being.

Operating the Summer Holiday Club has allowed us to put these measures into practice and we are confident that we can continue to carry out these new measures in the coming term.

Changes to care patterns

We are aware that some people’s personal and work situations will have changed and this may have impacted their need for childcare.  We would like to give members the opportunity to inform us of any changes to their requirements without any charges until Tuesday 11 August.

After this date, we will presume you wish to keep your current attendance pattern and you will be charged accordingly.  Any changes will be subject to the usual 4-week notice period.

We would also like to remind parents of their responsibility to notify the Club Manager of any non-attendance at regular sessions.  This included any sessions during the first week where your child(ren) will not be at school, or if you are planning a phased return to Club.

Other News

Registration Forms are required to be completed prior to your child’s first session.  These can be collected from the club or alternatively, we have made this information available on the website at the links below:

We are aware that some changes may be made to the school term dates and we will review this when this information becomes available to us, and update the Club Calendar accordingly.

Lastly, we would like to thank you all for your continued support of the club and look forward to seeing everyone next week.
