Highways.Today Newsletter

6 August 2020

Welcome to another Highways.Today newsletter!

I have had a load of emails this week in response to last week's news about the new Highways England guidelines for increasing roadworks traffic speeds to 60mph. It was interesting that those who work on motorway projects welcomed the news, but only if proper safety measures were in place.

Helping to address this issue SRL Traffic Systems this week announced ambitious expansion plans, with an investment in new Smart High Speed Messenger VMS systems that can be controlled remotely by Highways England using their current ITS systems, as well as the openings of new depots across the UK to manage the demand for their VMS products.

Thanks again and stay safe.
