Hi <<First Name>>,

In this issue of Latest Waves:

Where In the World Would You Go?

I spend a lot of my time talking about travel. Over the last few months, the conversations I’ve had about travel have been hopeful and full of dreams for future trips. In fact, one of my favorite questions to ask is, “where in the world would you go?”

Hearing the responses is so fun: Cancun, Costa Rica, Alaska, Hawaii, Ireland, Australia… the list of places sparking our wanderlust goes on and on. Those of us who love the experience of travel often have a list like this in our heads all the time, and it’s only gotten longer as we’ve had more time to dream about destinations over the last few months.

But what I find even more interesting than asking “where” is asking “why.” Why do you want to go to…
"My fiance and I have both visited Ireland, but not together. We want to go again to show one another our favorite spots."
“I’ve always wanted to go hiking through the rainforest and hear the birds calling to one another in the canopy. Costa Rica would be a dream come true.”
“I’ve always wanted to see the Pacific Ocean. I figure it’s time to make it happen, and Hawaii would be the best possible way to do it!"

Even if we can’t make it happen right this moment, I’d love to hear your where AND your why. Because when it comes to travel dreams, I want to help you make them a reality.

Maybe we have to wait a little longer to check these places off our bucket lists, but when we do, it will be more than worth the wait!

Fun for All Seasons

I hope you are enjoying your summer so far! While it’s probably a bit different from the summer you had imagined, warm weather, sunny days, and time outdoors is always welcome changes from the cool of the winter months.

So how will you keep your summer fun going as the temperature drops and the days become shorter in the next few months?

One of the best ways that I can think of is to find ways to celebrate all seasons. Travel is one way to make your celebrations even more memorable.

Fall

There are a few things we can always count on for fall and one of them is the changing leaves. For decades travelers have made it a point to go leaf-peeping in many parts of the northern U.S., upstate New York, New Hampshire, and even western states like Montana. Leaf-peeping is a trip about getting out into nature with picnics, hiking, and small-town flare while taking in the stunningly colorful scenes of fall.

As we continue to explore the U.S. through road trips and national parks, this fall is the perfect time to finally take time to peep the leaves and escape by connecting with nature.

Winter

Whether you prefer to spend snowy days curled up by the fire in a mountainside lodge or hitting the ski slopes, why not plan a trip to a picturesque ski resort this year?

There are places around the country, from Aspen, Colorado to the Green Mountains in Vermont where you and your family can spend time together enjoying the snow and hot cocoa.

Year-round fun

Not ready to think about cooler weather? I can help you plan a hiking excursion in Tucson, AZ, escape to the Florida Keys for a beach weekend, or live it up in Vegas for a long weekend at any time of the year! I’ll be here to make fun-in-the-sun a reality for you all year round.

If you’re ready to talk about travel this fall and winter, I’m ready to listen. Together we can find a destination to help you get the most out of your vacation days!

The Joy of Small-Ship Cruising

I know that many of us are eager to head back to the open water and to set sail on our next vacation. Many of you are wondering what the new cruise experience will be like.

Rest assured that I’m closely monitoring the policies and procedures of cruise lines as they are announced. I am confident that those in the cruise industry, including cruise lines and government agencies, will continue to work together to keep travelers like you healthy and safe as they sail the world. And I can help you plan how to use your future cruise credit if you have had to reschedule.

As I look forward to the future of cruising, experiencing small cruise ships are at the top of my list. Small ships have offered a unique cruising experience designed to help us connect with destinations and slow down, long before we experienced a pause in cruise sailings.

3 Reasons to Take a Small-Ship Cruise

1. Exclusive Access

Small ship cruises often have the ability to explore destinations and ports where larger ships aren’t able to sail. Paired with the exclusive access to small, private tours in-destination, small ships can play a key role in helping travelers avoid large crowds and long lines.

2. Personal Service

Cruising on a small ship also offers personal service. The staff on small ship cruises also get to know you by name and cater to your needs and wants. They can help you get the most out of your experience by making sure you are taken care of at every turn.

3. Inclusive Options

Many river cruises and expedition cruises are designed with inclusivity in mind. In some cases, excursions, tours, and even room service are part of the experience. Some ships, like those in the AMAWaterways fleet, provide bicycles to cruisers looking to explore destinations on their own. While these will vary based on the cruise line, inclusive options can save you time and money when it comes to your onboard experience.

And that’s just the beginning. Whether you are thinking a 2021 river cruise or as looking to sail the Caribbean in comfort, small ships are an option to consider for your next cruise vacation.

Let me take care of the details and you can look forward to sailing again in 2021!
