Dear eProgress Newsletter Sign-up

We are delighted to announce that Littlehampton Museum will be reopening on Tuesday 18 August. We have put in place Covid secure measures which include ticket only visits, mandatory face coverings and cleaning between each visit. To book your free visit head over to the Museum's website or call 01903 731800.

In support of our local independent businesses, Town Mayor Councillor David Chace, has been busy these last few weeks visiting some of our unique eateries and shops. Make sure you visit the Mayor's web page to watch his weekly Vlog.

A section of Pier Road in Littlehampton between South Terrace and Clifton Road
has been closed temporarily in order to keep the public safe. Read more.

Last month, Arun District Council and Freedom Leisure worked on implementing Covid secure measures to enable them to reopen Littlehampton Wave. To see which activities have resumed visit their website.

There is nothing better than a visit to the beach when the sun is out but if there is one thing that can spoil the experience, is litter! Both the District Council and ourselves have been reminding beach goers to respect the environment and take their rubbish home. Please remember to be safe when visiting the beach and only swim in the designated areas. The Met Office has issued a Level 3 - Heatwave Action for this weekend, read tips for dealing with a heatwave.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team in the capacity of Amenity Team Operative. Full details including an application form can be found here. Sussex Police are recruiting! Find out details here.

Please remember that from this Saturday face coverings will be mandatory in more places. Visit the Government's website to see where you have to wear one and who is exempt. If you need to buy some, make sure you visit our local traders as many are stocking handmade items.

Essential preparation work will restart on 10 August ahead of a major improvement scheme to widen single-lane stretches of the A259 into dual carriageway in Angmering and Littlehampton. See details.

We are still not able to open our reception area but continue to be available via email and regularly update our website and Facebook with news. Also don't forget to visit the Museum's new website which has a whole Digital Museum section.
