New Life Church COVID-19 Update:
We enjoyed our second gathered church service since the lockdown on Sunday 2nd August.
We continued to apply a number of safety precautions in accordance with observing the restrictions associated with Government advice concerning Covid-19. We maintained social distance, wore masks, didn't sing and did not provide any children's work as they were cared for within service by their respective parents/carers. The service itself was shorter and we were not able to provide refreshments.
Despite all of these limitations the feedback was once again really positive and it was lovely to see people we had not seen for some time.

We realise that some will prefer to remain at home and not to attend the meeting at the building, and we will keep going with our online service in parallel with the meeting at the building for those who stay at home. In line with the Government advice we would encourage those who are perceived as at "higher risk" and specifically those with underlying health issues to remain at home.

The format of the meeting will be a mixture of following the first part of the online service, with quizzes, a children’s story, songs of deliverance to lift our hearts in worship; then there will be space for testimonies and then a short message, based on the longer sermon which will have been pre-recorded, that people can watch at home, at their leisure.  We anticipate that this will take about an hour.

Because of the need to maintain social distancing, we will have to have a limit on numbers of those who attend the meeting.  For this reason, if you are planning to come our services please would you sign up on Church Suite,( link below) indicating how many people will be coming from your household.  We are obliged then to take a register of people who come to the meeting, which we have been asked to keep for 21 days, after which we will destroy the list.  If you come to the meeting and have not signed up to indicate your attendance, and we are at capacity, we will have to ask you not to enter the building.
This system worked very well last week and we appreciate people taking the time to book in this way.

With all of the above limitations, we still believe that the Lord will presence himself as some of us gather together (Matthew 18:20), and bless the time.  Hope to see you if you would like to come and can make it!

"Songs of Deliverance"
We have been blessed by the contributions made to our Sunday Service by those in the church regarding worship.
Given the current restrictions on Singing in Church, we will continue to use this a means of worship.
We therefore need more people to choose three songs that are important to them. They will introduce the songs, giving the reason for their importance and we will have an opportunity to listen to these songs after their introduction albeit from our own homes, or  as part of our reflection in the church building.
Please record your song choices and send them into nathanjones@newliferugby.com
If you have any queries about this let us know at office@newlifechurchrugby.com
It would be great to have some more selections.

Vision 2020

Building Update.

For those of you have visited the church building you will know that this building has been a renovation project. Whilst the project is not yet completed the progress that has been made is significant.
We are grateful to God for the opportunity to use this amazing space to glorify God and to be open to his direction as to how the building will be used going forward.

We are so thankful to see all that has been achieved thus far and we are hopeful and inspired to realise the full potential of the space.
We will be looking to give an update on the future plans for the outstanding work to encourage those amongst us to pray, give and practically support the vision for the building.
