Hello friends, family, and loved ones! We apologize for the length of time between updates. Thank you for your prayers, encouragement, patience, and understanding during these challenging times! 

We spent most of the summer waiting and hoping for a return to South Asia. After much prayer and discussion with Jay and Beryl and our leaders with IDEAS, we all sense God leading us to stay in the States for the remainder of the year because of the pandemic and to try to return to South Asia some time in 2021. 
 
Our status with IDEAS will now officially change to being on home assignment. We had originally planned to be on home assignment next year, but because of the current situation, it makes the most sense to take our home assignment now. This means we will have specific objectives and responsibilities related to our project in South Asia to fulfill while we're here, and our support funds will continue to contribute to the work abroad. We also anticipate that Scott will resume a job in medicine in order to further his professional development. 

Prayer Requests

Trusting the Lord – please pray with us to know the joy and assurance of God’s nearness during this season. We may not know the future, but pray that we rest in the power and love of God who is working all things together for our good. 

South Asia - pray for our teammates Jay and Beryl who continue to serve at Faith Clinic. Pray for the children at Home of Love orphanage, for the staff at Faith Clinic, and for all those impacted by the pandemic. 
 
Children – Silas, Calvin, and Naomi are doing really well. They have thoroughly enjoyed their summer and are preparing to begin another year of home school. Pray for their hearts, for a real trusting in God for all things, and for cultivating contentment in any situation. 
 
Logistics – please pray that the Lord would provide a great job for Scott and for a place for our family to live. We are currently looking in Columbus. We will likely need some help with furnishings, so please let us know if you have any we could borrow or purchase. Also for any leads on a used car for Scott.
