💡 Emerging Ismaili Professionals Summit – August 16th (deadline August 7th)
The Emerging Ismaili Professionals Summit is our first ever virtual conference for those between the ages of 18-25 as well as graduate students. During this conference we’ll have:
- Keynote speakers speaking about topics such as Diversity & Inclusion to the struggles before finding success
- We’ll have workshops ranging from “Deciding Between Grad School vs. Certifications”, “Recruiting During COVID”, “Moving to a New City” and more!
- We’ll also have Career Breakouts with 50+ mentors in small group discussions ranging from fields such as Medicine, Finance, Consulting, Electrical Engineering, the arts, Software Engineering, and more!
Spots are limited so be sure to apply as soon as possible, as applications are being reviewed on a rolling basis!
💡 IPN InterACTIVE – Please join us this Saturday to hear two great stories of resilience, struggles and overcoming obstacles in the job market. Aamir Bhojani and Aadil Khetani successfully landed jobs through networking and utilized many other strategies that they will share during the program. Together, we will discuss possible challenges and practical strategies to grow your network while searching for a job.
💡 Fields of the Future – Nurse Practitioners hold greater autonomy than registered nurses. They can see patients on their own or refer to a physician or specialist as a case requires. They can also diagnose and treat acute illnesses and can prescribe medications. Learn more about this specialized and fast-growing field with Nurani Madhani for the Nurse Practitioner edition of the Fields of the Future Speaker Series on August 15!
💡 Upkey – Each Quarter, Upkey seeks 1,000 ambitious students to join our global entrepreneurship and leadership initiative. This exciting and much needed plan will provide students with, real-world leadership, entrepreneurship, leading career development, experiential learning opportunities, through project-based learning, and a series of micro-internships across various business functions. During the summer over 60 Ismailis took part in the Upkey Internship Program! We highly recommend this part time program incoming freshman and sophomores or those taking a gap year!
💡 College Expedition Mentor Applications – College Expedition aims to broaden the means to educate high school students and their parents on informed decision making for higher education by assessing the quality and suitability of academic and personal opportunities. As a mentor you will be responsible for approximately 5 students throughout the weekend and will facilitate mentor sessions in small groups and engage in content sessions discussing high school and college planning throughout the weekend. Applications are due Aug 16th.

📚 101 Companies Looking for Business Analysts Today – Apteo has compiled a list of 101 companies currently hiring business analysts of all levels, including entry level jobs with no experience required! There are even a few remote positions available.
📚 Google Certificate: Fundamentals of Digital Marketing – Master the basics of digital marketing with Google's free course accredited by Interactive Advertising Bureau Europe and The Open University. There are 26 modules to explore, all created by Google trainers, packed full of practical exercises and real-world examples to help you turn knowledge into action. At the end you'll receive a free certification.
📚 Gymnasium: UX Fundamentals – UX Fundamentals will teach you how to apply user-centered design principles in order to improve your website and mobile app design. A must-take course for anyone working in web design and development. This is a free course in which the end you'll receive a certificate of completion.
📚 University of Helsinki: Elements of AI – The Elements of AI is a series of free online courses created by Reaktor and the University of Helsinki. Their goal is to encourage as broad a group of people as possible to learn what AI is, what can (and can’t) be done with AI, and how to start creating AI methods. The courses combine theory with practical exercises and can be completed at your own pace.

💻 UC Davis Pre-Health Conference – The UC Davis Pre-Health Conference will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2020 virtually. The conference is the largest of its kind, bringing in over 250 health professions schools from across the nation and over 100 speakers from all health careers. The attendees will have the opportunity to listen to speakers during workshops and speak with health professionals and various health professional schools at our LIVE VIRTUAL Pre-Health Fair. Be sure to register as soon as possible as spots are limited.
💻 A Future in Medicine: National Pre-Health Conference – A free, three-day virtual event for individuals of any background interested in pursuing a career in healthcare. Registration is closed, but the Live Stream of the event will be on youtube, so be sure to save the link and mark it in your calendars! The conference will be Thursday, August 20th - Saturday, August 22nd, 2020.
