Survivors' votes MUST be counted!

"There are many opportunities for nonprofits to legally engage in elections activities, which makes domestic violence service providers well-positioned to play a pivotal role in supporting survivors’ access to their right to vote."

Barriers to voting are disproportionately felt by survivors of color, whose voices, stories, circumstances, and experiences MUST guide our efforts to end domestic and sexual violence on Election Day and beyond. Check out our latest Awareness Highlights blog post for resources on how to help survivors exercise their right to vote this election season.

We know that the votes of advocates and survivors need to be counted, so we have put together resources to assist with the navigation of the voting process — taking into account unique safety and privacy concerns, lack of home address for survivors who may be homeless or living in shelters, COVID-19 obstacles, and voter suppression tactics.
If you have questions or need technical assistance, please contact our technical assistance team at nrcdvTA@nrcdv.org. For non-emergency requests, please allow 3-5 business days for response. Additionally, our website provides a Contact Form for specific requests related or unrelated to COVID-19.
