It’s August! The dog days of summer are upon us. Do you know that August 10th is National S’mores Day? I kid you not. Let’s get some marshmallow, graham crackers, and layers and layers of chocolate as we enjoy this tasty treat and celebrate the Lord together!
Latest Updates:
Looking for a Few Good Ideas – Are you a Zumba instructor, a cooking enthusiast, or a happy hobbyist? With our shelter-in-place half year mark coming up, should we shake the humdrum and do something fun together as a church community? Online, of course. If you have an idea, a teachable talent or know someone who does, click here and let us know! This aligns with the suggestions we heard through the Forum discussions last year and is a goal being explored by the Forum Committee as well. Even as we stay home, let’s see if we can find creative ways to bless one another!
Church Reopening – Due to the current health situation in San Francisco, the Recovery Committee has decided to hold off on reopening our church until further notice. We will continue to track city and state guidelines and the status of school reopening to help us evaluate safety and timing.
Sunday Services, August 9:

English service, 11:00 am, Pastor Stephen Lim (Springfield, MO).
Ministry Updates:
Seeking Helpers for KCA – Even though school will start with remote learning this fall, Ann Kawauchi has been considering ways our church can still support the KCA community. Can you help with an online activity to engage the students for an hour or so? Please volunteer and contact Ann.
Online Bible Study for the Chinese Section – Thomas Cheng has taught Sunday school numerous times and will lead the online sessions through Zoom on Wednesday evenings from 8:00 to 9:00 pm. We welcome new believers or those interested in participating. First lesson will start on August 12th. May God put a hungry heart toward His words!
