An Early Look at Applications Submitted During the Pandemic

The early data for submissions since COVID-19 interruptions on NIH-related activities is now available through July 28th Open Mike blog post by Dr. Michael Lauer, Deputy Director for Extramural Research. Biomedical scientists have seen substantial reductions in productivity. Productivity is a complex term comprised of grant applications, data analyses, manuscript preparations, and research hours. This bog post looks at R01-equivalents and RPGs received by NIH between May 1 and June 5, and compares these against the same time frame for the previous three years.

REACH 101

Research Excellence in Administration Certificate at Harvard (REACH) Program is an interactive and engaging certificate program specifically designed for Harvard research administrators and other personnel engaged in assisting in the management of sponsored funds. Foundations 101 seeks to provide a comprehensive understanding of the administration of sponsored research projects at Harvard from proposal to closeout, and to introduce key resources for the further development of participant knowledge and expertise.

Overview of ORCID

Learn how to store CV data, publications, and various other components developed throughout the research cycle. This workshop provides tools to understand how ORCID interacts with other systems (i.e. NIH eRA Commons) and how to help researchers meet sponsors’ ORCID and ORCID-related requirements.
