Next Skye Climate Action meeting
Launch of Grow Skye! Dùisg an talamh*
Monday 10th August, 7 pm
Join our zoom meeting to hear about information and activities as our new food resilience project Grow Skye! Dùisg an talamh gets going. Activities include an online map showing food growers on Skye, posters and leaflets, and a seed library event organised by Atlas Arts.
Contribute your suggestions and share your stories to develop ideas further and tell us what information you need to help you grow more food. We are keen to involve schools and young people, so if you are a parent, teacher or pupil we welcome your input and ideas.
Please email info@skyeclimateaction.org for the Zoom meeting link.
Background: In our previous conversations about sustainability on Skye, Skye Climate Action members discussed "How can Skye be sustainable in terms of its communities, environment and economy, as we emerge from Covid19?" Members identified food security as a key issue for building Skye's resilience and wellbeing, in order to be in a better position to weather the COVID19 and climate emergencies.
