Hello West Dupont and 2B02 neighbors,
Thank you for reading my newsletter about happenings in West Dupont and 2B02. After an eventful July meeting which ended after 11:30PM - the longest commission meeting I have attended-- the August agenda for ANC 2B is very limited. Most DC government boards, commissions, and other ANCs do not meet in August, but we have a few agenda items to consider.
There are a few public space applications including for the former Buffalo Billards location and a sprucing up of the sidewalk cafe at 20th and S where Ruth's Chris Steakhouse used to be. Outside of West Dupont on the agenda there are a few additional public space applications downtown, on 17th Street, and a liquor license request for the former Rosemary Thyme location at 18th and S.
Councilmember Pinto joining ANC 2B this month
In addition to the regulatory agenda items, I am pleased that we will be joined by our new Ward 2 Councilmember Brooke Pinto. The Councilmember will be presenting and answering questions at the top of the agenda starting just after 7PM and I look forward to hearing from her.
