We hope each of you are well, safe, and healthy as we all continue through the challenges that we are facing during this time. Thank you for being with us throughout our journey and mission to "prepare great women for the world and the world for great women!"

Are you interested in competing for Miss Maine 2021? Join our August 30th informational call via Zoom to find out how you can sign up, what being Miss Maine is like right from our current Miss Maine, Carolyn Brady, our executive director, Sarah Nadeau-Balducci, and volunteers from our organization. HELP WANTED!

Payment in good friends and fun, and a chance to be super creative and help young women! These roles are not necessarily for one person - many hands make light work.

Event Planner
Do you have experience in event planning and fundraising? Do you have some time and energy to help MMSP?
Much of our operational budget* depends on money raised from events like our golf outing and fundraisers like raffles. This year we will also need to implement new and creative ways to raise money virtually. If this sounds like your wheel-house, send a note to execdirector@missmaine.org.
(*Our operational budget includes paying for things like our website, housing and other logistics for competition week, rental fees for the auditorium where we hold the competition, and also for some fun things like sparkly crowns and sashes for our winners!)

Digital Media Maven
So much of our reach depends on a healthy social media presence on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook (and other platforms as necessary).
Do you have experience with:
Social media planning and scheduling?
Growing effective Social Media followings?
Canva?
Video editing for Insta Reels or Youtube?
If you have experience and a bit of bandwidth to help our digital media and marketing efforts, drop a note to execdirector@missmaine.org and we can help you help us!

MMSP Giveaways and Raffles

Are you a business looking for some new social media exposure? Interested in collaborating together to raise scholarship dollars and increase opportunities for young women in Maine? During her unexpected extension of her year of service, Carolyn has been working to raise social media visibility and scholarship dollars for the Miss Maine Scholarship Program with online giveaways and raffles.

Golf Tournament Fundraiser - CANCELLED
Sign up for the MMSP Golf Raffle!

With sadness, given the current COVID 19 limitations, we have made the decision to postpone our annual golf outing until the spring. So much of that day is about the camaraderie of being with friends, which means being in close proximity to others. Masks or otherwise, safety is always most important and we will just be back bigger and better after the new year. Instead, we will be reimagining our golf outing as a golf raffle instead. More information is coming soon.

Congratulations to Shannon Folsom, Miss Maine’s Outstanding Teen 2008, and CJ Ludwig on their recent marriage! We wish you lots of joy and happiness!

Megan Beals Hopkins, Miss Maine 2005, is nominated for 40 under 40!
These annual awards recognize 40 individuals who have achieved personal success and made significant civic contributions to the community in West Michigan. Megan has served as Executive Director at Safe Haven for three years while leading the organization through a $5.5 million capital campaign for a new facility. Safe Haven is now a multi-award winning non-profit with national recognition and is a fiscally sustainable organization built to last and continue to serve those experiencing domestic violence in West Michigan.

Maine is an “open state” which means that ANYONE who fulfills the requirements to compete CAN compete for Miss Maine or Miss Maine’s Outstanding Teen. Women and girls do not need to win a local title to compete in either of our competitions. Sign-ups for the Miss Maine and Miss Maine's Outstanding Teen Competitions are open.
