Proxy Voting at the Annual General Meeting
Your vote is important to us!
GT Members will have received their copies of the Notice of the Annual General Meeting 2020 and Annual Report 2019, and seen that in light of current COVID-19 measures, the ban on large gatherings, and in accordance with special legislation relating to AGMs in this period, regrettably this year’s AGM will run as a closed meeting with Board members only.
Instead of attending the AGM, members are encouraged to exercise their votes by appointing the Chairman to act as their proxy and vote on their behalf.
Please use your vote. It’s important to us and will help ensure a quorum at the meeting. All details are on the Proxy Voting Form, which you can return to the GT’s Honorary Secretary by post or email.
Votes will be accepted up to noon on Tuesday 1st September 2020.

Conserve
We are concerned about the effect of a series of incremental changes on the Capability Brown landscape at Shortgrove in Essex (Grade II). There have been 28 planning applications affecting the estate since 2002, ten of which since March 2020 alone. The cumulative effect is eroding the significance of the park. We are supporting Essex GT who are looking at whether conservation area designation is needed to protect the historic estate. Read more
