Support Beirut

Studio Safar, Papercup and Jana Saleh were based in two of Beirut’s hardest hit areas. Contribute directly to the women who ran these creative spaces so they can rebuild their studios and salvage their archives here.

Impact Lebanon is fundraising for immediate disaster relief, you can contribute here.

Young Photographer Programme

Our programme team in North Kensington are looking for a young photographer with strong connections to the area for a paid work placement with professional photographer Zute Lightfoot. Applications accepted until 8 September, read the full brief here.

Ten Obstructions Exhibition

ACAVA alumnus Sabrina Fuller is currently exhibiting at Ten Obstructions, an Instagram exhibition of the ten artists selected for Castlefield Gallery's bOlder program. The exhibition runs until 3 September and you can view it here.

UK-Canada Immersive Exchange

The UK-Canada Immersive Exchange is a new talent development and co-production programme for UK and Canadian creatives and producers, who wish to work with immersive technology. Applications are open until 17 September, read more about this opportunity here.

SLG Postgraduate Residency

The South London Gallery Postgraduate Residency is an open submission six-month live-in residency for early-career artists. Apply by 1 September, read more about this opportunity here.

Unlimited Commissions

ACAVA Recommends

Since the beginning of the pandemic, HOAX have been commissioning and paying for new work by artists whose practices sit at the intersection of art and creative writing. Visit their website here.

Fringe of Colour Films is an online arts festival showcasing over 40 films made by Black, Brown people and People of Colour filmmakers. The festival runs until the end of August and you can watch it here.

Fuse showcases work by Black, Indigenous, People of Colour creatives, highlighting their practices and sharing anti-racism and petition information. View their website here.

Frieze and Jennifer Higgie have launched 'Bow Down: Women in Art History', a new podcast series about significant women artists from the past who deserve our attention. You can listen to it here.

Vitrine Gallery have launched 'Sounding Off 2.0', an online exhibition of new performative and digital work. You can view the exhibition here.

AirSpace Gallery is running the programme 'Artists Make Change', a new series of artist-to-artist conversations that dig into shared concerns and the pressing issues challenging artists today. You can watch these conversations here.
