NHS England commissioned us to gather perspectives from the VCSE sector on the ongoing NHS roll out of social prescribing link workers. Since then we've heard from over 300 people through a series of interviews, workshops and online engagements. The final report draws out the lessons from the first months of the roll out, and makes recommendations to the NHS and the VCSE sector on key issues such as funding, measurement, partnership and inequalities.
On the webinar, we’ll also be joined by The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) who will also be launching their new report 'Social Prescribing How Do We Sustain Social Prescribing In The Wake Of Covid-19?'
Our speakers include James Sanderson, Director of Personalised Care at NHS England and Improvement, Dan Jones, National Voices' Associate who led the research for National Voices and Craig Lister, Managing Director of TCV's Green Gym.
The NHS’s new strategic commitment to social prescribing represents a welcome recognition of the distinctive role of the VCSE sector in supporting people to live well, whatever their health conditions, and in building healthy communities. It is a key opportunity for our sector to establish effective partnerships with the NHS. This unique partnership event will present, compare, and discuss the findings and recommendations from two recent research projects, reflecting the views and experiences of hundreds of people from across the VCSE sector.
