Celebrating 47 Years of Hip Hop
To commemorate hip hop's 47th anniversary, NMAAM is celebrating its past, present, and future for the entire month of August with exclusive content across all of our social media and digital platforms. We kicked off the month with our new campaign, The Power of One, and revisited the genre's origins with The Birth of Hip Hop. Our weekly video series, "The Message," inspired by our hip hop gallery of the same name, highlights the songs, artists, and moments from each decade of hip hop and premieres on Sundays on our Facebook page. Check out the first video, and be sure to tune in each week for more hip hop history.
