Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj describes Krishna's janma-lila, birth Pastimes, and affirms that many research scholars, with their sadhana, have got much realistic ideal of Krishna, and that is the form of Krishna divided within three characters. One is He who is the Supreme, Brajeswar tanaya, the son of Nanda Maharaj and of Mother Yasoda; second is the son of Vasudev and Devaki, the Mathura Krishna; and third is Krishna the hero of the special kings' group and the creator of Kurukshetra fighting arrangements, the Dwaraka Krishna. These three characters of Krishna are positive and progressive and always eternal, transcendental. But Krishna who is Nanda Maharaj and Yasoda Devi's son is not leaving Vrindavan.

"We will take anukalpa (a small amount of non-grains food) on Ekadasi, twice we are taking. But on Janmastami we are not taking that. On Janmastami we are completely fasting."

"Vedavyasa very cleverly expressed the character of Lord Krishna... Then we can understand what is the position of Lord Krishna and what is the position of Krishna's Rasa-lila. First we will see Him like a sun, from far, the fireball. The sun is a big fireball, but lookable from far, not near. Krishna's character is like that."
