WEEKLY UPDATE
VIVA VILLAGE NEWS and NOTES
Annual Member Meeting
On August 8, twenty-eight Viva Village members gathered online for the 2020 Annual Meeting.

Members raised their hands to confirm the appointment of Vickie Sander and Ramona Crocker as new members of the Governing Council. The vote was unanimous, including the proxy votes received in advance.

Members also bid a fond farewell to outgoing Governing Council members, Rae Coleman, Kathy Brown, and Larry Brown who had reached the end of their GC term limits. Though no longer on the Council, these three will still be active in Viva Village.

Members were treated to an informative slideshow about the “State of the Village,” complete with collages and photos. Click here to view the presentation.

Selected book: What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty
Reviewers describe Australian author Liane Moriarty's What Alice Forgot as a perfect summer read. It tells the story of a 39 year old mother of three, in the midst of an acrimonious divorce, trying to piece together the last ten years of her life, lost to memory because of temporary amnesia.
