Yes folks, this summer for Dragon Drascombe did not start due to this dreadful Pandemic. My previous Newsletters tried to raise a little optimism, but tempered with advice as to what information and clarity could be gleaned from local sources on the Island of Lefkada. Alas, our season has now ended due to the still-uncertain conditions in Greece and with air travel.
I appreciate there have been some clients willing to accept the challenge to travel and adhere to the local conditions and increasing restrictions, however I had the unenviable task of making these one-off decisions .
On one hand my thoughts have been with my Greek friends who offer their services to the Charter groups either with apartments, or the local shops and tavernas where people eat and drink. They are all experiencing extremely difficult times with the lack of tourism this summer. However, for myself running this business if there were to be positive testing of clients it would be almost impossible to cater for quarantine in the apartment areas. Who knows if this advice I offered was correct?
To date, limited flights are still operating into Preveza. Jet2, in July despite giving my June client a revised booking of the end of September, cancelled this and announced that all of their September flights would be grounded. So still uncertain times.
I am very pleased and sincerely grateful to all of you who have appreciated the current situation and deferred your holiday to next summer, with several now giving me confirmation of either the same period for next summer or new dates and venues.

Looking forward now to next summer. 2020 client's dates are held for next summer, but need to be confirmed as soon as it is possible. If there are date changes it gives me a chance to get your best option and availability. For new bookings also it is advisable to contact me with your accommodation option and date.

For new bookings as of September 1st the ‘Terms and Conditions’ will change to allow flexibility.
- On making a booking there will only be a 20% deposit required
- You will be able to cancel that booking up to 4 weeks from making your booking and have your deposit refunded
- The second stage of the deposit payment, 30% of the package, will be required on 10 January 2021
- The final package payment remains the same, the 50% balance is to be paid 10 weeks prior to commencement of the holiday.
