Dear C-EL Faculty,

We are all still awaiting specific guidance from the University regarding off-campus activities related to course work this semester. Until we receive this guidance, course-related activities off campus should be suspended. If you have planned course activity for which you need approval - particularly if it is planned for very near-term - we want to encourage you to notify the chair of your department, the Dean of College, Jeff Runner, and your relevant academic dean to let them know of your need for approval as soon as possible. We hope that through our collective effort, an approval process will be forthcoming.

As it stands, please review the AS&E Fall 2020 Policies document for the most recent guidance related to off campus activities (specifically page 8, second paragraph) from earlier this summer, which indicates the pending development of such an approval process.

As soon as we hear anything about what this approval process will look like we will let you know and offer any assistance we can in getting your off campus projects up and running. Thank you for your patience and commitment as we work with senior leadership to get clarification about these details.

Yours in solidarity,
The C-EL Team
